Abstract
The vibrational spectra of the bathe and lumi intermediates in the room-tem perature rhodopsin photo-reaction are measured by picosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (PTR/CARS). The instrumental princi ples underlying PTR/CARS together with I:he advantages of PTR/CARS applicat ions in protein reactions are discussed.
