Abstract
The S-0, T-1 and S-1 Raman spectra of bacteriochlorophyll a, bacteriopheoph ytin a and chlorophyll a were recorded for the species of natural abundance isotopic composition anti those of totally substituted with N-15, C-13 and H-2 isotopes. Based on empirical assignments of the Raman lines, changes i n the bond orders in the macrocycle upon triplet and singlet excitation are discussed.
