F. Ayadi et al., PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF THE BILAYERED SHUFFLENET AND THE SR-NET UNDERDEFLECTION ROUTING, Computer communications, 20(2), 1997, pp. 125-137
The bilayered ShuffleNet is a new logical configuration for multihop n
etworks. This configuration uses the same logical configuration as the
conventional ShuffleNet in terms of the number of users, number of co
lumns and connectivity between columns: a doubling of connectivity is
obtained by allowing each station in a column to be connected to a 'mi
rror' image of stations from the previous column. We compare the perfo
rmance of the bilayered ShuffleNet with the SR_Net, a modified version
of the conventional ShuffleNet, which can have the same connectivity
and the same number of users as the bilayered ShuffleNet. These networ
ks will be studied under deflection routing by applying the method of
signal flow to path enumeration, and by a Markov chain model of the sy
stem.
