Microwave irradiation of Nb-InAs-Nb single-junctions demonstrates that the
half-integer Shapiro step is caused by ac nonequilibrium supercurrents. In
addition, nonequilibrium de supercurrents are observed as a conductance enh
ancement around zero bias. Both effects persist to temperatures well above
the disappearance of the equilibrium critical current and integer Shapiro s
tep.
