Abstract
We have measured the energy gap of an ultrasmall superconducting ring by us ing small tunnel junctions. Transitions between different quantum states we re observed. The transition points at low temperatures agree well with the theoretical prediction, while those at higher temperatures are in the regio n of the normal state in the theory of the usual Little-Parks effect.
