Abstract
For the first time, we report the liquid phase oxidative dehydrogenation of 2-picolylalcohol to pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde over modified ZSM-5 catalyst s with high yield (78%). The effect of precalcination temperature has been studied. Tertiary butylhydroperoxide is a better oxidant than hydrogen pero xide in these processes. The effect of solvent has also been studied.
