Abstract
This paper introduces a multi-agent office work system available for mobile environments. We propose an architecture called INA/LIi for this multi-age nt system. The architecture has three layers, namely, the group work suppor t layer, personal work support layer, and communication support layer. Grou p work support agents support such tasks as meeting arrangement, resource m anagement and workflow management. Personal work support agents support suc h tasks as schedule management and mail-filtering. These agents mutually co mmunicate with other agents to execute some of the tasks, e.g., meeting arr angements. Moreover, TPO communication agents provide the same services whe n we are out of the office as well as in the office. Therefore, we can use these agent services at any time and atomy place. This system can therefore increase office work productivity owing to automated incidental office act ivities through the collaboration of agents. In addition, developers are ab le to extend this multi-agent system prior to the INA/LI library.
