Abstract
The enhancement of the reflected second harmonic generation (SHG) of light due to edge plasmon excitation on a metal grating is studied. Optimal condi tions for edge plasmon excitation by laser radiation are evaluated. The rol e of surface and edge plasmons on the enhancement of SHG is considered.
