Exclusive B ->pi l(+)l(-) and B -> pl(+)l(-) decays in the two Higgs doublet model - art. no. 014005

We investigate the exclusive B-->pi l(+)l(-) and B-->rho l(+)l(-) decays in the framework of the general two Higgs doublet model (model III), in which an extra phase angle in the charged-Higes fermion coupling, i.e., a new so urce for CP violation, exists. The CP violation for both decays is calculat ed and it is observed that the CP-violating asymmetry in model III differs significantly from the one predicted by the standard model and model II whi ch is a special case of model III. Furthermore, it is shown that the zero v alue of forward backward asymmetry A(FB) is shifted when compared with the standard model value, which can also serve as an efficiency tool for establ ishing new physics.
