The giant magnetoresistance of Co/Cu/Co films sputtered on glass and on Si(
100) surface was studied. It was shown that the geometry of both substrate
surface and ferromagnetic layers affects the coercive force, the volume fra
ction of antiferromagnetically well regulated areas of ferromagnetic layer,
and the magnetoresistance effect value of multilayer films. It was found t
hat the magnetoresistance value depends on coercive force and the fraction
of antiferromagnetic well regulated areas.
