Abstract
The bulbs of Scilla nervosa have yielded three novel compounds, 5,7-dimetho xy-3-(4-methoxybenzyl)chroman-4-one, 5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3-(3-hydroxy-4-met hoxybenzyl)-chroman-4-one, 5,7-dimethoxy-3-(4-hydroxybenzyl)chroman-4-one a nd the known compounds 5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-3-(4-methoxybenzyl)chroman-4-one , (E)-5,7-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxybenzylidene) chroman-4-one.
