Some remarks on applying radiation technology combined with other methods to the treatment of industrial wastes

Radiation technologies applicable to environmental conservation have been p romoting extensive interest in many countries, and recently much attention has been paid to their application combined with other methods, in particul ar ozonation. In this paper we would like to offer some remarks on applying certain dedicated radiation technologies to the treatment of industrial wa ste, with major attention to (1) basic research on kinetic studies and prod uct analyses; (2) the combination with methods that can efficiently reduce the absorbed dose required for the radiation treatment; (3) new technologie s whose application can significantly minimize the output of industrial was te.
