Abstract
The formation of the dispersed phase was studied by absorption spectroscopy in gamma-irradiated mixed aqueous solutions of Cu(II) and Pd(II) in presen ce of isopropanol. The formation mechanism of bimetallic colloid was discus sed through the comparisons with copper and palladium colloids. The crux of the formation of Cu-Pd alloy was investigated through the influences of ex perimental conditions on the formation of Cu-Pd alloy. (C) 1999 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd. All rights reserved.
