A numerical model for determining the trajectories of a spherical aero
sol particle in the vicinity of a spherical collector is presented. Th
e Coulomb, image, Stokes, inertial and gravitational forces acting upo
n the particle and the collector are taken into consideration in the e
quations of motion. The system of equations is solved in 3-D space. Th
e flow field in the vicinity of the collector is determined by numeric
al solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. The examples of aerosol pa
rticles' trajectories are presented for a few values of the Coulomb an
d Reynolds numbers.
