Abstract
The MRI morphology in combined subacute degeneration has only rarely been r eported. We describe two patients suffering from subacute combined degenera tion of the spinal cord on the basis of a deficiency of Vitamin B-12. In bo th patients characteristic hyperintense areas on T-2-weighted images in the posterior columns of the cervical and thoracic cord without contrast enhan cement were demonstrated by MRI.
