The present study shows the results of field plot experiments with peppermi
nt (Mentha piperita L.) carried out in four different locations with differ
ent climate in hilly-mountainous and lowland regions. Filed experiments wer
e performed on soils differing in their pedological and agrochemical proper
ties. Obtained yields varied more significantly in dependence on soil quali
ty and climate than in qualitative traits (essential oil content, contents
of macro- and microelements in plant tissues).
