Abstract
In 1994 the decomposition of calciumoxalate monohydrate as a three-step rea ction has been investigated by 13 labs using DSC-method. Starting from one identical point all files with the results have been evaluated by objective kinetics by the authors. The evaluation has been performed using a well pr oved non -linear optimization method. 96 DSC-data sets have been evaluated kinetically several times. The results were analyzed critically on the basi s of real model concepts for the course of the dehydration, the CO-split of f and of the CO2-split off, respectively. The results allow an optimistic a ssessment for the application of kinetic procedures to solid state reaction s with well-known chemical course investigated by DSC. (C) 1999 Elsevier Sc ience B.V.
