Abstract
The renormalized proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximati on model (RQRPA) has been used to calculate double-beta-decay matrix e lements and associated transition half-lives for two-neutrino double b eta decay of parent nuclei Ge-76, Kr-78, Se-82, Zr-96, Cd-106, and Te- 130 to the ground state and excited one- and two-phonon states of thei r daughter nuclei. The results are compared to ordinary proton-neutron QRPA and experiments. In addition, the violation of the Ikeda sum rul e in the RQRPA is examined and discussed.
