Abstract
The partial and integral enthalpies of mixing of the binary (Ga, Zn) liquid phase have been measured at 717 K by Calvet drop calorimetry. A fifth orde r Redlich-Kister model has been established for the three binary liquids (A l-Ga), (Al-Zn) and (Ga-Zn). The two isopleths x(Al) = x(Ga) and 4 x(Al) = x (Zn) in the ternary (AI-Ga-Zn) system have been explored by drop calorimetr y to determine the ternary term of the Redlich-Kister model extended to the whole system.
