Abstract
The structure of the pyoverdin siderophore of Pseudomonas fluorescens 1.3 w as elucidated by spectroscopic methods and chemical degradation. It shows s tructural similarities with the pyoverdins of several other strains. Whethe r mutual recognition occurs was investigated by growth tests.
