Abstract
Spectra of longitudinal waves excited by a laser pulse in a ferromagnetic m aterial are calculated in the temperature range close to the temperature of magnetic phase transition. It is assumed that the wave generation is gover ned by the thermoelastic mechanism. A new technique of measuring the spectr al components of acoustic waves with the use of piezoelectric and electroma gnetic acoustic transducers (EMAT) is developed.
