Abstract
A 10-year-old boy presented with a history of exertional chest pain. An ele ctrocardiogram demonstrated an inferior apical myocardial infarction. Cardi ac catheterization revealed myocardial bridging of the left anterior descen ding coronary artery with evidence of intramyocardial obstruction during sy stole. The patient underwent successful treatment with supraarterial decomp ression myotomy and remains symptom free at 1 year. (C) 1999 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
