Abstract
A method of optimization of the number of programmable logic devices in the circuit of a composition microprogrammed control device is proposed. The m ethod is based on a special representation of the microinstruction address and introduction of a code converter. By means of such an approach it becom es possible to reduce the number of inputs to large-scale integrated circui ts and, consequently, the number of programmable logic devices. Application of the proposed method for a specific algorithm flowgraph is considered.
