Optimisation of a chemical reaction by means of LabMax (R) and STAVEX

For the optimisation of a chemical reaction, STAVEX, an expert system for p rocess optimisation and validation, was tested in combination with the auto matic laboratory reactor LabMax(R). The high reproducibility and the unprob lematic operation of the latter were particularly appreciated. Thanks to th e simple-to-use expert software, a reduction of the number of influential f actors, a maximization of the yield of product as well as a model equation for the yield were obtained.
