Abstract
Magnetization curve, magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivit y were measured for Pr3Co single crystals. The magnetization curves at 1.5 K were measured in magnetic fields up to 7 T. Metamagnetic transi tions were observed at 0.85 T along the a-axis and 6.4 T along the b-a xis, respectively. From the magnetic susceptibility, the effective mag netic moment is deduced to be 3.59 mu(B)/Pr ion, which is in good agre ement with the Pr3+ free ion value.
