K. Tachibana et al., Application of microelectrode technique to alminum anodic oxide film formation in ammonium adipate solution, ELECTROCH, 67(7), 1999, pp. 780-783
The application of microelectrode technique to aluminum anodic oxide film f
ormation in ammonium adipate solution has been carried out. The non-faradai
c current and the ohmic drop due to solution resistance can be reduced dras
tically by microelectrode technique. The use of 25 micrometer alminum thin
wire as an microelectrode enabled us to measure the rapid cyclic voltammetr
y (similar to 1000 V s(-1)) of alminum anodic oxide formation process at th
e very large current density range such as 10(4) A m(-2) and larger than it
. This current density corrensponds to the 1000 times larger than that of t
he ordinary electrode.
