Abstract
Optical compensation of polarisation-mode dispersion using a tracking elect ro-optic polarisation controller and a high-birefringence fibre has been de monstrated. A penalty of < 1 dB was achieved over a 0 - 115ps PMD range, wi th and without the use of a fibre.
