Sr. Decarrasquel et Y. Jimenez, PERCEIVED QUALITY-OF-LIFE IN A VENEZUELAN COOPERATIVE COMMUNITY, Revista latinoamericana de psicología, 29(2), 1997, pp. 303-319
The perceived quality of life (QL), defined in terms of an attitude, o
f satisfaction, of a randomly selected sample of 105 residents of a Ve
nezuelan cooperative community was undertaken in order to identify dif
ferences in the evaluation of QL at the personal and community levels
and QL at the national level. A modified Version of a questionnaire de
veloped by Reimel de Carrasquel (1991), containing 114 items correspon
ding to multiple environmental aspects was used. The results of varian
ce analysis indicated, as was hypothesized, significant differences be
tween the evaluation made by the subjects of national QL and personal
and community QL. Results also revealed that the evaluation of persona
l QL was associated with three sociodemographic variables.
