A few dioxomolybdenum(VI) and oxomolybdenum(V) complexes have been synthesi
sed with tridentate NSO donor hydrazone ligands derived by the condensation
of morpholine N-thiohydrazide with salicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxyacetopheno
ne. The complexes, have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular
weights, magnetic moments, molar conductances, infrared and electronic spe
ctral data The ligands are found to act in dibasic tridentate fashion.
