Abstract
A new saponin, bacoside A(2), has been isolated from Bacopa monniera and it s structure elucidated as 3 beta-[O-alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl(1-->6)-O-[alph a-L-arabinopyranosyl(1-->5)]-O-alpha-D-glucofuranosyl)oxy]pseudojujubogenin by chemical and spectral studies.
