Abstract
Michael addition of diethyl malonate over 2,2'-sulfonyl-bis(1,3-diarylprop- 2-en-1-ones 1a-e in the presence of sodium ethoxide furnish 4,4-diethoxycar bonyl-2,6-diaroyl-3,5-diarylthiane-1, 1-dioxides 2a-e in very good yields.
