Abstract
The unique combination of high hardness, high thermal conductivity, and low friction coefficient makes diamond an excellent cutting tool material for the machining of abrasive, non-ferrous workpieces. This paper reviews basic and applied aspects of the technology as applied to the preparation of dia mond coated cutting tools.
