Ma. Raggi et al., Determination of catecholamines in human plasma by high-performance liquidchromatography with electrochemical detection, J CHROMAT B, 730(2), 1999, pp. 201-211
In the present study, assays were improved for the determination of catecho
lamines in human plasma. High-performance liquid chromatography with electr
ochemical detection was employed for quantitative analysis. The influence o
f various parameters on chromatographic performance, such as the compositio
n and the pH of the mobile phase, and the detection potential, was investig
ated. An accurate solid-phase extraction procedure, after catecholamine com
plexation with diphenylborate, was developed. The efficiency yield for all
catecholamines was in the range 92-98%. Relative standard deviation values
for repeatability and for intermediate precision were less than 2% and 3%,
respectively, for all three analytes. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All ri
