Abstract
A new method for the preparation of porous spherical hydroxyapatite granule s is reported. It may be clinically applied towards orthopaedic or maxillof acial surgery as fillers or packing materials, and as biological chromatogr aphy supports. Its application towards delivery of macromolecules or protei n drugs is discussed utilizing human serum albumin (HSA) as a model protein . (C) 1999 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
