Abstract
A 64 channel optical array interconnect based on 125 mu m polymer optical f ibres arranged in an 8 x 8 array with dimensions of 2 x 2 mm(2) is presente d. Typical insertion losses of 1.5 dB (660 nm) and 5 dB (980 nm) over a 20 cm interconnection length have been measured.
