Abstract
Induction period has been measured for various supersaturated aqueous solut ions of nickel sulphate heptahydrate doped separately with magnesium sulpha te heptahydrate and zinc sulphate heptahydrate by the direct vision method. Various critical nucleation parameters have been calculated based on class ical theory for homogeneous nucleation. The critical nucleation parameters decrease with the increase in concentration of ZnSO4. 7H(2)O doping but inc rease with the increase in concentration of MgSO4. 7H(2)O doping in the NiS O4. 7H(2)O solutions.
