Abstract
Cardiac tamponade in patient on regular haemodialysis for end stage renal d isease is a serious complication calling for urgent surgery. The current re commended treatment is creation of a pleuropericardial window through a tho racoscope which is less invasive than open surgery and results in rapid rec overy. We describe two consecutive patients treated by this technique with excellent results.
