Abstract
We have performed the U-238 Mossbauer spectroscopy of a ferromagnetic compo und UGe2 to investigate its magnetic property and local electronic state. T he hyperfine magnetic splitting is observed in the spectrum below a Curie t emperature of 52 K. The magnitude of the hyperfine magnetic field is determ ined as 240 +/-10 T at 5.3 K. Its temperature dependence is the same one as the magnetization. The hyperfine coupling constant of 238U nucleus is 160/-10 T/mu(B), which does not show any temperature dependence.
