I. Hamamoto, Gamow-Teller beta(+) decays of deformed N approximate to Z Sr isotopes close to the proton drip line - art. no. 011305, PHYS REV C, 60(1), 1999, pp. 1305
It is pointed out that the study of Gamow-Teller beta(+) decays of highly d
eformed Z approximate to N nuclei close to the proton drip line is very val
uable, especially if log ft values of the beta(+) decays to the ground and
low-lying states can be measured with good accuracy. Desirable candidates f
or this purpose are the pf decay of Sr-76(38)38 and Sr-75(38)37. The possib
le absence of an appreciable amount of the Gamow-Teller strength of Delta K
= 0 beta(+) decay of the nucleus Sr-76(38)38 may be used as a measure of l
arge deformation with strong neutron-proton pair correlation.
