Abstract
We study inelastic electron-ion scattering contributions to the thermoelect ronic transport coefficients in dense plasmas. They are deduced from improv ed variational solutions of the Boltzmann-Ziman equation explained in this work. A new expression for the thermopower is proposed which is evaluated i n the case of the dense hydrogen plasma. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
