Essentials of percutaneous abomasopexia

This study deals with. a modified percutaneous fixation according to Sterne r and Grymer (Bar suture, ES). Unsuccessful trocarations (just the abdomina l cave or even the rumen) caused no adverse consequences, Highly dilatated abomasums and those filled with a lot of liquid increased the problems in r eposition and fixation very much or even made them impossible. Bad ruminal filling or mixed ruminal layers additionally caused complications. Based on the experiences of this study a manual for performing the BS was developed .
