Abstract
We report the formation of the solid solution series (Nd1-xSrx)CoO3 (0.10 < x < 0.50), which has been prepared by the conventional solid-state reactio n method. By X-ray powder diffraction, we observed that the system is isomo rphous to the NdCoO3 compound [1]. We found that the reaction temperature f or this system is 860 +/- 3 degrees C, lower than the one reported by other authors [2-4]. Further characterization studies by scanning electron micro scopy and differential thermal analysis are described.
