Techniques of the electrode impedance spectroscopy and pulsed voltammetry a
re employed to study the electrochemical behavior of the lithium electrode
in a LiAlCl4 solution in thionyl chloride and in a LiBF4 solution in gamma-
butyrolactone. The behavior of similar electrode covered by a protective fi
lm of Li2CO3 is studied in the course of storing in a LiClO4 solution in th
e mixed solvent containing propylene carbonate and dimethoxyethane. The res
ults are compared with the data obtained earlier for other lithium electroc
hemical systems. Common regularities of the electrochemical kinetics of the
lithium electrode, caused by the ion transfer in surface passivating films
, are discussed.
