Abstract
The structures of two new didemnins ([Hysp(2)]didemnin B and [Hap(2)]didemn in B) from the Aplousobranch ascidian Trididemnum cyanophorum (Didemnidae) are described. Structures are determined by a combination of mass spectrome try and one and two-dimensional high-field NMR techniques. Complete H-1 and C-13 NMR spectral assignments and conformational informations are presente d. The cytotoxicities of the compounds towards drug-sensitive and drug-resi stant tumor cell lines are: compared with those of didemnins A and B. (C) 1 999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
