Abstract
The reaction of diphenyl(methoxymethyl)phosphine oxide 1 with organometalli c reagents was found to lead to substitution of the methoxymethyl group. Th e P-phenyl substituent showed a lower propensity to undergo a displacement. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
