Abstract
The basic features of the method of integral equations in the theory of liq uids are discussed. One of the central problems of the theory, the definiti on of the bridge-functional, is analyzed. Example applications of the metho d to simple liquid systems are discussed. The problem of treating complex m ulti-atomic classical systems is considered.
