Abstract
Cardiac performance is negatively associated with interstitial collagen in
Chagas' cardiomyopathy. The magnitude of dysfunction is related to the degr
ee of collagen, and this association seems to exhibit a threshold above it
if definite cardiac deterioration occurs.
