Abstract
Thrombotic layers and/or atrial thrombi were detected by transesophageal ec hocardiography as a usual finding after transcatheter closure of atrial sep tal defects with the ASDOS device. The size of the thrombotic structures re gularly decreased within 6 months without any clinical signs of embolizatio n.
