Abstract
Osteoarthrosis is the most common joint disorder in dogs. It is classified as primary (idiopathic, no cause identified) or secondary (a major causativ e factor identified). The hallmark of osteoarthrosis is a slow but progress ive destruction of articular cartilage, synovitis, periarticular fibrosis, and remodeling of subchondral bone. Clinical manifestations of osteoarthros is include pain, crepitus, swelling, muscle atrophy, and loss of range of m otion.
