Abstract
In contrast to previous studies that only examined employment growth and mi gration to determine whether people or jobs move first, this paper uses an integrative labor market framework. The integrative approach leads to addit ional labor market variables being examined, such as wages, labor productiv ity, unemployment, and labor force participation. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A.
